The Globalizing Extension Innovation Network would like to congratulate Dylan Gentry, Former GEIN Intern, on his appointment as the 2021 Global 4-H Youth Delegate as a representative of the United States.
The Global 4-H Network Board of Directors proposed the Global 4-H Youth Committee be formed to represent youth voices from each of the 4-H regions worldwide. The individuals will serve July 2021-June 2022 and assist in the planning and preparations of the Global 4-H Summit in September 2021. Representatives will also serve as speakers at other events as required.
According to the Global 4-H website: The Global 4-H Network was formed in 2014 at the Summit in Seoul, South Korea. Two representatives were elected from each region (Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America & Caribbean, North America) to form the Board of Directors and the global 4-H declaration was signed. The Global 4-H Network believes the power to build a more sustainable future lies with todayβs youth. To ensure global economic and political stability in the future, we must work now to create long-term solutions to strengthen our communities and feed our growing world.
