There are an estimated 64 million grandparents living in the United States. Those who have strong ties to their children and grandchildren enjoy a place of esteem and respect. During this time of global concern over the coronavirus pandemic and the accompanying government imposed restrictions, families are having to adjust the type and frequency of contact they have with each other. This presentation details a recent empirical research study to learn about the experiences of grandparents during the coronavirus pandemic. Advice from grandparents to grandparents is the focus of the presentation and implications for Extension professionals will be discussed.
