This hour-long archived webinar introduced citizen science and opportunities for citizen science programming in 4-H contexts. It offers an overview of the wide diversity of citizen science projects (from astronomy to zoonotic diseases), outlines different participation opportunities (one-day events through individual inquiry), shares examples of what peers are doing across 4-H settings, and provides links to resources for getting started. The webinar is a collaboration between 4-H experts in STEM and Youth Development (Nancy Schaff, NY; Jay Staker, IA; and Trudy Dunham, MN) and staff from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (Jennifer Shirk, Ileana Betancourt, and Jennifer Fee).
