Spotlight on Ukraine: The war in Ukraine and rising global commodity prices

On Friday, April 22 at 2 p.m. EDT, FAS Customer Engagement will host another event in its spotlight series.  This event will feature presentations from an FAS Foreign Service Officer on the current agriculture situation in Ukraine as well as a presentation from USDA staff on the Ukraine Conflict and Other Factors Contributing to High Commodity Prices and Food Insecurity (see agenda below).

This event will also provide an opportunity for participants to discussion issues of concern and participate in a question/answer session. Note:  This event is closed to press and will not be recorded.  Please remember to keep your microphones on mute and video off.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
