This open group creates a network of professionals interested in globalizing Extension innovation. It shares and develops best practices for augmenting extension programs through cross-cultural and international experiences. The network supports the engagement of extension professionals through educational programs emphasizing understanding of global dynamics and using cultural knowledge.

Call for Proposals:  Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education

On behalf of the 2023 Conference Planning Committee, I am excited to invite you to attend the annual conference of the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education. The School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD), University of Guelph, will be hosting the conference in Guelph, Canada, April 26–29, 2023. The theme “Technology, Pluralism, and Inclusiveness in Agriculture, Food, and Environment” speaks to our goal of providing an engaging experience to learn agriculture, food and environment from an international and cross-cultural perspectives.

The call for proposals can be found here. The deadline for submission is Oct. 17, 2022, late submissions will not be accepted.

Amongst the categories of proposals is the Application category. These proposals should document a practical and/or field experience of applied extension education or agricultural education program.

A call for professional development proposals will be distributed at a later date.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
