Project Youth Extension Service (YES)!

Join an informative webinar exploring the many levels of Project YES and learn how they may be able to bring the program to your military communities and families.

Complementing the Smith-Lever Act Cooperative Extension Service, Project YES! provides college interns a dual-focused opportunity to work with youth, teens and their military families across the nation. These students provide support for youth and their families at special events for National Guard, Reserves, and on garrisons. College interns are trained to work with all ages to enhance communication, leadership and life skills among youth and their families. With over 360 individual events in 45 states and 4 US territories, Project YES! has worked with over 11,500 children and youth.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
