Legal Issues Related to Ag Data

Agricultural producers are seeing an explosion in the opportunities to utilize agricultural data in their operations.  On May 23 at 12pm EST, the University of Maryland, Kansas State University, Oklahoma State University, and Texas A&M University will host a webinar Developing Issues in Agriculture: Legal Issues Related to Big Data in Agriculture. This webinar will be the second in a series of two webinars focused on big data, an earlier webinar will focus on economic issues related to big data in agriculture.

Speakers will be Ashley Ellixson, an Extension Legal Specialist with the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and the Agriculture Law Education Initiative and Dr. Shannon Ferrell, Oklahoma associate professor of agricultural economics, Department of Agricultural Economics, Oklahoma State University.

The webinar is sponsored by the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, the Agriculture Law Education Initiative, Texas AgriLife Extension Service, Oklahoma State University Department of Agricultural Economics, and Kansas State University Department of Agricultural Economics.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators.
