Getting the most out of Google Docs

Google Docs has documents, spreadsheets, presentations and more! While it does not have all the functionality of Microsoft Office, it offers about 99% of the features I need about 99% of the time. It also has some features that MS Office does not have that make it worth trying out. The sharing features by themselves make it my 'go-to' application. In this session, we'll explore what Google Docs has to offer and see where it can fit in your toolbox.

Google Docs makes it possible for many people to work simultaneously on the same document. You can share your documents with who you want and give some people the ability to edit, others the ability to add comments and still others to just view.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
