Eat Smart, Move More... Maintain, don't gain! Holiday Challenge

Join the eXtension Child and Family Learning Network, along with Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less Specialist Madison Fehling, for a free webinar on maintaining your weight this holiday season. The Holiday Challenge is part of Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less, an online 15-week weight management program, developed by NC State University and the NC Division of Public Health.


The Eat Smart, Move More, Maintain, don’t gain! Holiday Challenge is a free 7-week weight maintenance program that runs from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve. In 2013, 6,000+ people from 48 different states and Canada took part in the Challenge. 90% reported having maintained their weight during the 2013 holiday season. Won't you take the 2014 Holiday Challenge?


In this session, you will learn:
  • how to stay mindful and make healthy decisions over this hectic season;
  • how to join and promote the Holiday Challenge in your workplace, community program, and/or family; and
  • about the free perks of the Holiday Challenge (such as calorie calculators, online food logs, healthy recipes, daily tips, weekly e-newsletters, and more!).

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members.
