If you or your business is struggling financially due to COVID-19 related layoffs, closings, or reduced business, join us to learn about assistance options.

Ashley Harkins from the United Horse Coalition will begin by explaining what the UHC does and resources they provide horse owners and the industry to prevent horses from becoming at-risk. She will also talk about a resource database of safety net programs including rescues and hay banks for horse owners.

Then Bryan Brendle from the American Horse Council will describe some pandemic-related federal assistance programs including unemployment assistance, federal tax rebates, and two small business loans made available by the CARES Act (the Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan). He will discuss who qualifies and how to apply for each of these.

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators.
