Topic Summary

Join us in the second 2018 NAPB webinar focusing on soft skills for plant breeders.  This talk will focus on transition to agricultural industry from an academic setting. This is a vital step for many plant breeders, as industry provides a career outlet for a high percentage of students, post-docs, and academic professionals.  For career academics, interacting with industry professionals is also an essential skill, as industry helps to advance the field of plant breeding in innovative ways and provide employment opportunities for graduate students.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
