Avian influenza and backyard flocks

There have been several cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza in the west coast migratory fowl fly way. This has resulted in the destruction of poultry flocks in Washington State and California. Dr. Joe Baker, DVM, the state veterinarian for Washington State, which has been hit the most, will be discussing avian influenza and the current situation in Washington State. This webinar will be followed by one on Biosecurity for backyard flocks.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs.
