4-H Poultry Showmanship

Poultry fitting and showmanship is an exciting part of an animal project. This provides the 4-Hers with the opportunities to show some of the skills that aren't highlighted in the poultry contests that focus on the birds. In poultry fitting and showmanship, equal emphasis is given to both the bird and the person showing the bird. Dr. Mickey Hall from Clemson University has organized and judged many poultry showmanship contests. This webinar will address these two different aspects of the showmanship contest - organizing and judging.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs.
