If you are new you new to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and wondering
how it can enhance your work? Intrigued by the buzz of AI but don't
know where to start? This special session for Extension Professionals
will explore the basics of Artificial Intelligence and its potential use in Extension work. This engaging and informative session is a great
opportunity to learn about the potential of AI, whether you're a
complete novice or just looking to expand your knowledge!

This session will cover:

  • Basics of AI, from large language models to machine learning
    and neural networks
  • Use cases in Extension where AI has been successfully
    implemented
  • a demonstration, real-time examples and a  highlight of
    strengths and weaknesses of three tools: ChatGPT, Bing Chat
    & Canva AI Generator
  • Q&A session to address any questions that attendees may have

This session is open to all Extension Professionals.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
