The Extension Education Masters program is available online with asynchronous courses which means you learn when the time and pace is right for you. Courses are designed with a high level of peer to peer engagement for maximum networking opportunities with Extension Professionals across the country. Join the Cohort

For those who are starting out a career in Extension and would like a longer and more comprehensive onboarding experience, consider the Teaching in Extension graduate certificate. This 13 credit option includes the three core courses plus an elective of your choice. The certificate option can be 2 or 3 semesters (one to one and half years) and is a great cohort option for learning the ins and outs of Extension work, engage in peer networking, and have an advising mentor available to support you throughout the entire length of the program.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
