Asset Based Community Recovery - Add Your Voice!

The pandemic has shown us that we can’t do anything alone. However, we can use our experience and the experiences of others to learn and grow from this pandemic to be better prepared for future disasters and emergencies.

That's our invitation to you. If you work with community groups, local government, families, businesses, non-profits, farmers, youth, or any other sector of communities, consider joining us for one of our upcoming Asset-based Community Recovery Workshops!

Through the workshop we will use the Tamarack Institute's Asset-based Community Recovery Framework to consider how COVID-19 has disrupted our communities, what has emerged, and what has been revealed. This framework is a bottom-up approach that allows individuals, associations, organizations, and businesses to think about what role people and communities play moving forward.

You'll engage in practicing connection and collaboration to create a shared resource we can all use in our work and address the challenges we face from multiple perspectives. Additionally, you'll discover the assets and capacities of your community that make the people, organizations, and communities we work with more resilient and aid in their recovery after a disaster.

So join us and contribute your voice, experiences, and lessons learned!

Registration is open, but space is limited! Learn more about this workshop and register here: https://militaryfamilieslearni...ork.org/event/92168/

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
