Calling all urban extensionists!
National Urban Extension Leaders (NUEL) is pleased to issue a Call for Presentation Proposals for the 2022 National Urban Extension Conference.
Rutgers Cooperative Extension will host the Conference on May 23-26, 2022, in Camden, New Jersey--part of the Camden-Philadelphia metro area.
The conference theme, Reimagining Our Future...Together, reflects the massive changes we’ve experienced over the last three years, and the need to collaboratively use what we have learned to inform our work and strengthen community relationships going forward.
The National Urban Extension Conference (NUEC) provides an opportunity for Extension professionals and applied researchers to share research and innovative educational strategies that address the needs of urban, suburban, and peri-urban populations as well as urban-rural interdependencies.
Proposals will be accepted for individual presentations, panels, lightning talks and posters.
Abstracts that highlight research or outreach activities that involve partnerships between researchers, practitioners and Extension professionals are especially encouraged. Community collaborators and other non-Extension members are welcome to participate on panels.
Preference will be given to submissions that address innovation in Covid-19 response, social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion across NUEL’s five focus areas.
The Program Committee will review all proposals. Initial selection decisions will be made in December 2021 with notice to applicants by January 8, 2022.
Be sure to visit the conference website and sign up for the mailing list to receive important event details as they become available. You can also follow the action on the #NUEC22 social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
