National Extension Climate Initiative

The National Extension Climate Initiative serves to link climate change-related education and research across Extension program areas and associations. This subgroup acts as a place to share opportunities and resources, and discuss all things related to climate change extension.

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer and staying as cool as you can these days. A reminder that our next monthly NECI member meeting is today, Thursday July 1 at 3:30pm ET. We hope you can join us to share and catch up on all the exciting Extension climate news, events, professional development, collaboration, and funding opportunities.

This month's NECI member call will feature guest speaker Dr. Robert Kopp, Director of the Institute of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, Professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, and Co-Director of the Coastal Climate Risk and Resilience Initiative at Rutgers University (robert.kopp@rutgers.edu / http://www.bobkopp.net/). We are excited to hear from him and will be allocating plenty of time for discussion with him and among NECI membership.
