30 Days Left to Submit Presentation Proposals for the 2022 National Urban Extension Conference!

The Conference will take place on May 23-26, 2022, in Camden, New Jersey--part of the Camden-Philadelphia metro area!

This event provides an opportunity for Extension professionals and applied researchers to share research and innovative educational strategies that address the needs of urban, suburban, and peri-urban populations as well as urban-rural interdependencies.

Proposals for individual presentations, panels, lightning talks and posters are due by November 20, 2021 at 5pm Pacific Time.

Abstracts that highlight research or outreach activities that involve partnerships between researchers, practitioners and Extension professionals are especially encouraged. Community collaborators and other non-Extension members are welcome to participate on panels.

Preference will be given to submissions that address innovation in Covid-19 response, social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion across NUEL’s five focus areas.

The Program Committee will review all proposals. Initial selection decisions will be made in December 2021 with notice to applicants by January 8, 2022.

See submission requirements here or attached pdf. For event information, visit the conference website.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
